As we continue to study God's Word for His Plan in our life, we have run across some fascinating information. We are beginning to feel an inner peace that we've been longing for as we read more & more about "organic" churchlife. The pictures below should all be linked with their appropriate sites & offer lots of information. Please continue to lift our family in prayer regarding the direction He wants us to go. We'd love to hear feedback from others about this subject!
Since the boys get the weekend “off” from milking, they were still sleeping upstairs. It was a rainy morning, Mike had just finished starting the coffee, & I was in the process of mixing up sourdough bread for the day.I hadn’t noticed Mike pacing to several different windows, until he hesitantly announced we might have a BIG problem… “The gate is wide open to the calves’ pen, & I don’t see any calves…”Mike flew downstairs to get his boots on, & I ran out the back door to see for myself.Sure enough: gate open, no group of 9 multi-colored calves laying together, & a sickening feeling beginning to well up in my stomach…
<The age of these calves range from 3-6 weeks old.My first thought went to:THE ROAD!!!The road we live on can be pretty busy, and...
GET REAL – HOW TO LIVE THE CHRISTIAN LIFEby, Dr. James MacDonald.
5 marks of an authentic Christian –
FIRST MARK – Believe confidently; 1 John 2:28-29 – I must abide in Jesus’ righteousness
Doctrinal teaching - defined Imputed righteousness – when you are a Christian, the lens that God looks at you through (sees you as having the righteousness of Jesus Christ); referenced 2 Corinthians 5:21, Philippians 3:8, Hebrews 4:15
Some might say/teach that above means we can do whatever we want because of God’s grace (“hyper grace”).WRONG.We should have a DECREASED urge to sin if we are Christians. The reason is because we are THANKFUL and we HATE SIN & WHAT IT DOES TO US, THOSE WE LOVE, AND WHAT IT DID TO JESUS.

SECOND MARK – Know completely; 1 John 3:1-3 – I must hope in the Father’s love
This account is especially written for anyone who wonders how we know that homeschooling our children is a path God wants us to take…
In our dining room this morning, the four of us had just finished our breakfasts, and Mike began to read aloud the next chapter in The Giant Killer.
<NOTE:What a GREAT book this is!It was originally written in 1856, and is an “allegory”.(Since I had never heard of an allegory before this fall, I’m going to take a chance that you may also not know, and will explain to you what it is:a story which contains a hidden meaning under the obvious one.)We are actually reading two different allegories – The Giant Killer each morning and Kingdom Tales at night. What an amazing talent these authors have of being able to create such fascinating parallels in storylines!>
